Domestic Violence Assessment Consultancy and Training
Free Expert Training
DV-ACT experts are offering bite size training to social work teams and have already delivered these short fact filled sessions to children's services across London. These one-hour sessions can fit in to your team meeting, form part of practice meetings or be held at lunchtime for all colleagues.
Initially we are offering this training on vulnerability and attachment, however, if there is another area that is a particular area of concern or gap in the team's knowledge, please contact us.
One of our expert assessors will attend your office and deliver a one hour session (followed by questions and answers) covering the following:
-
The separating/reconciling dynamic in abusive relationships
-
How to assess whether a mother remains attached to her partner
-
The likelihood of remaining separated - positive and negative indicators
-
The impact of DV work with mothers - when is it effective?
These reflect the most commonly asked questions by professionals and link most closely to the risk of re-assault.
